2018 RENDEZVOUS

The year is quickly coming to an end and what better way to spend some time than looking back on some cherished memories of beautiful sights on our wonderful west coast.

Our favorite place in the Southern Gulf Islands is Tumbo and Cabbage Island on the outside of Saturna Island.  It’s close to our American neighbors Kim and Clay whom we met much further north on the Central Coast at Ocean Falls and Bella Coolla.

Ken and Tanis, our crew joined us, and Dan and Karen joined Kim and Clay, and it made for alot of fun and food when we gathered in the cockpit of OMOO each evening for our “happy hours.”

Come along on our hike on the windswept sandstone beach as we scavenge sea glass, old bones, and feel the fresh ocean breezes.

Our best treasures are the friends we have made on this wonderful journey of life on the sea.   Thank you all for the time you spend with us and the ways you have enriched our lives.

The Best of the Holidays and may the New Year be the beginning of another year of adventures and friendships.

Love and Respect,

Harold and Ruth

These amazing sandstone sculptures line the western side of Tumbo Island, as we made our way in Tumbo Passage it is a breathtaking view created by wind and waves open to the south and the conditions in Boundary Pass.

Getting to Tumbo you can go either the inside on Tumbo Channel or the outside depending on where you are sailing from, across the Strait or from inside Saturna.
