STUCK ON G-DOCK WITH A BROKEN CHICKEN

Good morning.  FOR YOUR SUNDAY MORNING ENJOYMENT!!

Thank you to all who read the posts this week, readership is up to 50, so if you enjoy OMOO and crew please share to a friend. Sally is hoping to double the views this week to 100.  Wishing you a lovely day, IT’S NOT RAINING!!

WARNING: TMI (too much information)

G-Dock has a collection of rather colorful nicknames.  In the beginning of Sideways Sallie’s life on “G-Spot dock” there were abundant sailing stories to hear, lies to be told,  ol’ salts and characters to meet,  and exciting nights to endure!!  Hershey,  and OMOO’s comfy cockpit invite  fun times and happy hours occur regularly.   The more wine goes in, the more information comes out!!

Time moves along and the honeymoon settles down to a dull roar.  The “Goat Trail” dock develops as boards on floats that we’re all tied to groans and moans  it’s way to twists and turns, literally heaving up and down in storms and resisting the pull of waves and currents in Maple Bay.  Although usually sheltered between the mountains on the east and west side, and the boat houses to the north, a southerly gale can wip through the opening over Birds Eye Cove and get things rockin’.  Of course there’s been s  time or two the wind catches a mast and a skipper by surprise and smashes the hull of some fairly large boats against the wharf. Then there’s the times skippers try to leave the dock with parts of the boat still attached, like electrical cords.   Along with the transient boaters that come and go on H-Dock (HELLO DOCK), visitors  trip along the Goat Trail and provide endless entertainment for the G-dock Gawkers.   There’s a constant battle to keep the otters, the floats, and the live aboards in there appropriate places.

That just got a little easier on OMOO these days, since the Gout Dock days are here. “There’s no doubt, IT’S GOUT”, and it’s really f***in’ up life on G-Spot dock.  And trust me, Goat Trail is no place for a frickin wheelchair!!   The Skipper and Sideways are ready to get back to the good ol’ days of G-spotting, Goat Trailing, and GAWKING!!

Here’s to life on G-Dock and fond memories of friends and times spent in our lovely live aboard community.  Kick back, grab a glass of your favourite bevy, and ENJOY!!

WE LUV G-DOCK

For my amazing skipper.
